Legislation, guidance, research and good practice in safeguarding

Having been undertaking reviews for several years, legal literacy, research and understanding safeguarding in the current climate is crucial to a robust review. I use legal frameworks and research to underpin the learning in reviews I chair and author. 
 

My previous role required me to be up to date with current practice and legislation and indeed to interpret and implement this across the NHS Trust I worked in and more widely via the Safeguarding Adult and Children Board. I have been used to trial out a new Section 11 audit tool because of my experience of undertaking Section 11 audits. I have also been heavily involved in  LSCBs undertaking of implementing a new learning and improvement framework when Working Together 2013 was published. My Serious Case Review work has required me to research and implement new best practice in safeguarding.
